During the Utah's presidential primary election on February 5, 2008, researchers from CSED had a unique opportunity to study voters' perceptions of privacy during the actual process of voting. Working with the Davis County Election Director's office, researchers set up two nearly identical voting rooms. While each room was arranged the same in terms of number and location of machines and tables, one room was designed to heighten voters' sense of privacy. Our findings and methodology are described in our
report (PDF).
