The Poll Worker Survey Bank
Poll Workers are an essential, but often forgotten, aspect of election administration. They are the hard-working individuals who spend many long hours making sure that our elections happen. The integrity and success of elections is determined by the integrity and dedication of the poll workers who run the street-level aspects of elections.
Poll worker surveys are one way to help local election administrators improve elections by providing them with the information they need about effective recruitment and train poll workers. Surveys can help answer important questions such as:
- Who are poll workers?
- How are most poll workers recruited for the job?
- Why do they work on Election Day?
- How effective was the training given to poll workers?
- What is it like to be a poll worker on Election Day?
This website brings together many different poll worker surveys and studies in an effort to help local election administrators know what questions to ask their poll workers and how to ask them.
If you already administer a poll worker survey, we would love to hear about it and add it to our survey bank! Email us at csed@byu.edu.
